Today was my first birthday and my first ever birthday party. Lynley and I had fun celebrating our first birthdays together. Here are some pictures from our day. Tomorrow I will have my birthday party with the Hensley and Hale family so I will have lots more pictures to show you after that one too. As you can see I LOVE cake and icing. I don't know how much I'll be able to eat after eating so much today. The bee cake was the one I tore into today and the one with the number one on it will be for tomorrow.

Another Big Day
Today Layla got here when I was stirring in my bed, so right when I got up I got to see her right away. The picture of us is when we still had our jammies on. After we got all ready we went and picked up Lynley and Aunt Sabra. All I know is I was sleeping in the car and next thing I know I woke up in Concannon's parking lot and Lynley was sitting beside me in my carseat. Don't worry we weren't in the same seat. I was in my other car seat. Layla was sitting in the back row. Mommy made use of all 3 rows in the car today! Maybe we can get Daddy to see how we need to fill it up with kiddos! We ordered cakes for all of Lynley and I's birthday parties while at Concannons. That place is sure fun. It's BIG and I wanted to just have free reign to walk around, but Mommy kept making me go back where the cakes were. Layla was a big help she kept feeding me and Lynley Gerber Yogurt Melts. That helped keep our attention. After we ordered the cakes we left there and went to Applebee's. I had quite a bit of Mommy's food and some applejuice out of a regular cup. Oh by the way, no more formula for me. I'm on whole milk now!!! Let me tell you it tastes A LOT better. Well I've got to go play with Layla a lot more before her Grandma comes to pick her up. Lots of playing little time.

Mommy's School Friends
When I woke up today Layla was in my room to see if I was really finally awake. She waited an hour for me to get up and play with her. As soon as Mommy got me out of my crib I walked over to Layla and leaned on her legs and she gave me a big hug. We got to play some at our house and then we went to the grocery and then to eat lunch at Gene's Rootbeer Stand. I don't remember anything about lunch because when Mommy parked she turned around and I was asleep. We came home and put all the groceries away and then played a little more at home. Daddy got off work early today so we met him at Mommy's school. All of the teachers that were there today couldn't believe how big I am. When the teachers saw me last year before school started I was so tiny. They really couldn't believe how well I walk. I was all over the school. The most fun part was Ms. Riggins had her dog there and Layla and I chased him all around Mommy's classroom pod. When you see the picture I've posted from today you will see what happens to little boys who have such a big day. I couldn't go on any more!! The other picture is of me sitting at the computer table in Mommy's room checking out the praise baby website.

Counting Down
Can you believe on Saturday I will be one year old? I know Mommy can't believe that. She keeps telling everyone that I am growing up so fast. That's what babies are supposed to do I keep telling her. Today was an awesome day. We spent the day at Granny Conner's. I decided not to nap like I usually do, so we headed over early and Grandma Filler got to go today too. We've missed having her over there. The grownups had beef and noodles and mashed potatoes. They kept trying to get Lynley and I to eat, but we were just too busy playing together and trying to figure out how to get behind the tv again. Aunt Sabra headed us off of that one so I made sure to find something else fun to do. Too bad Mommy caught me when I was about to climb Granny's front porch shelf like a ladder! I'm getting to be a great climber. After we left Granny's I was really tired and fell asleep in the car right away. When I woke up I was at Mommy's school laying down in my stroller. Daddy met us over there and they got some work done in Mommy's classroom. I like playing with Mommy's big legos when we go there. I keep getting more and more of them out of the bucket. When I got tired of watching Mommy and Daddy hang bulletin board paper we headed out to Texas Roadhouse. You won't believe it, but I let out a full out scream in there that was louder than their music! I even got my own kiddie meal tonight. I got chicken critters, baked beans, and of course I had lots of pieces of their rolls while waiting for their food. I even had orange juice and I've never had that before! It was really good. Daddy drove me home from their and I was sure tired, but made sure I still had enough energy left to play until about 10:o0 pm. Pretty soon I know Mommy and I are going to have to start getting up early, but I'm going to milk the late night playing as long as I possibly can. Tomorrow should be another great day. Mommy is going to babysit Layla again so that means constant entertainment for me all day long.

Crazy Sleep
Yesterday Mommy and I went to her friend Missy's house to go swimming. I was one of 8 kids there all together. Mommy's friend Allison was there with her boys and the kids she babysits too! We were in the pool for 2 hours. Mommy was so good at putting sunscreen on me that she forgot to keep up with hers. Her back is a lovely shade of deep pink and red and for some reason when I touch it she says ouch. After we swam I fell asleep not a minute from their driveway. Of course once we got home I got re-energized when Mommy tried to put me in my bed. So, I then went to sleep at 6:30 for the night and got up a couple times, but then slept til 7!
Today after we got up and got ready we headed to go get Grandma Hale and then went to Wal-Mart. They went crazy over the cheap school supplies they had. By the way I went to Mommy's school one day and while she started to decorate her door I played with a roll of masking tape. It's highly entertaining! Getting back to today...... after wal-mart I fell asleep in the car as usual and when I woke up we were back at Grandma's. We played over there a lot and Mommy took some pictures of me in Grandpa's rocking chair he has from when he was little like me. When Grandpa got home from work he got me really active and laughing. After I played with him a long while it was time to go home and see Daddy after he got home from work. I then decided to stay up and play until about 11:30 tonight because I just wasn't tired enough to go to sleep at my usual time.

Quieter Week
This week Mommy and I have stayed home more than we usually have during the week. We of course went to Granny's on Monday and the mall yesterday, but other than that we've hung out at home together. We got a new tv stand which put all the dials and buttons even more right on my level. Mommy and Daddy are working hard to divert my attention to other things, but so far it's not really working :) I don't like it when I turn the dial that puts the radio on especiall if people are talking on it. I can't figure out where the talking is coming from! I've got a couple of pictures to post. One of them is me playing with pots and pans at my Great Aunt Janets. That's from a month or so ago. The other picture is really recent. If you look close you can see I hold the cell phone sorta close to my ear. I'm not so much into actually talking on it. I just like to call people and text message by accident. I'm so smart!

Summertime Fun
I've gotta catch you up on my week. Wednesday Mommy babysat for Layla. We had a great time playing together. We went in the pool for quite a while and I was worn out afterward. We also helped Mommy at the grocery store. On the way home I fell asleep. I was so tired Mommy carried me in and put me in my bed and I stayed asleep! That's a rarity. Yesterday Mommy and I didn't go anywhere all day. Her back tire was pretty low on air, so we stayed home and cleaned a lot. Then Aunt Sabra, Uncle Paul and Lynley came over to go swimming then eat supper. I discovered I really like Daddy's grilled pork chops. I also had some mac n cheese. Mostly Lynley and I were too busy playing to eat much. After they left I had a quick bottle and went to bed. Today we've hung out at home most of the day too. All we went out for was to sweep out Mommys car and clean it out. Hopefully we will be getting a new car soon so Mommy doesn't have to spend so much on gas. I'll have to post some pictures later. I've gotta take a nap.

Granparent Day
Yesterday I saw my Granny Conner, Grandma Filler, Grandma Hale, and Granpa Filler. I also got to see Aunt Sabra, Great Aunt Ruth, and the Clark Girls, but can you believe how many wonderful Granparents I have. Mommy and I went to a teacher store then headed to Granny Conners for our regular Monday hangout. As usual Lynley and I followed each other all over the place and like to find things to get in trouble together with. This time it was going behind the tv with all of the wires. After Granny Conners we went to Target real quick to get some new formula. Silly Mommy had to get me a new bottle too because she realized we left my bottle at Grannys. I didn't mind the new bottle becuase I was hungry! I got to spend the evening at Grandma and Grandpa Filler's playing with them. We played inside and outside and Grandma said I barely sat down at all. I was so tired when Mommy and Daddy picked me up. They got to go to Indy and get one of my birthday presents and go out to eat. I'm sure they missed my loud squeals I like to do in the restaurant. When we came home from there it was time for a bath, ceral, bottle and bed. I was soooo tired. I'll attach a picture from last night.

Good Week
This was a really good week. We got to do lots of fun stuff. We went to Granny's on Monday as usual although this Monday we got to see Aunt Lori too. Lynley and I had so much fun following each other out onto the front porch and playing. Then on Tuesday Mommy babysat for Layla. I sure loved watching everything she did. We went to the park and to the grocery store together. Mom said it's a lot of work having 2 kids all day. Someday I'm going to be big like Layla too. The rest of the week Mommy and I just hung out at home a lot. We both got a little stir crazy, plus we had holiday food we needed to buy so Thursday night Daddy took us out. We went to Meijer and ate at Cracker Barrell. I was a very good boy at Cracker Barrell and stayed in my highchair the whole time. There's a lot to check out at that place and constant movement. This weekend Mommy Daddy and I went to 3 different cookouts. One at Granny Conner's, one at the Filler's and Aunt Peggy and Uncle Doug's house. I had a lot of good food. I would have to say the cool whip and strawberries were my favorite foods this 4th of July. I can never get enough strawberries. As if that wasn't busy enough, Mommy, Daddy, and I had a garage sale today. We sold quite a bit of our stuff. I had fun watching all the people and I even took a nap for Mommy and Daddy and slept in the pack and play while more people came to shop. I promise to be better at blogging this week Grandma Dee.
